Finally find the mood to update this thing :/ Empty week since passing out from SISPEC.... 32 km route march was..... OMG deadly. Numerous of people falling out at each RV point. LOL I was at the verge of falling out. Was lucky to pull through with some thoughs in my mind and heart.... Haiz..


KTV n Buffet last Saturday was wonderful. At last met up with friends for our long-overdued chinese new year reunion dinner. Army spoil so much of my schedules lol. Got to know some new nice songs including 1 from 光良 (I place the lyrics below)

Unit life rather dry for me. Signal Institute @ Stagmont camp. 5-day week though is all I long wanted.. but seems nothing much for me anymore :( nvm.. whatever will be will be. Environment at new camp was... wonderful. Outside seems old and worned out. But facilities inside was uber!!! Newly renovated toilets and bunk. Perfect living condition compare to TEKONG. bahahah! Booking out was so easy. Takes me less than an hour to reach home.


Ah something proud to say again after months of hard hard work. My first personalized linux was completed on 2nd March 2005 ahahaha. Though most compilation was done days before. The final reboot was done on 2nd March 2005 (Early morning).

The linux includes the latest kernel 2.6.10 (Currently was pushed to 2.6.11 blah!!!)
Glibc 2.3.4 cvs updated with Drepper's NPTL library
udev
textbased for datacenter servers.
...

The system compiled ONLY for Intel chipset systems pentium3 and ABOVE.
Well, the system yet release out for production use. Hopefully next month will see some affliated companys taking up my OS for usage in their environment.

I have yet find a name for the OS yet maybe any suggestions to give? Let me know via email stelgn@gmail.com

1 last idea is to publish as Singapore's flavour of linux. But legal issues + maintaining it will be a big big problem though.
